Here are some Frequently Asked Questions that we have encountered while testing with Certiport. We hope these are
helpful to you.
General FAQs
Test accommodations are individualized and considered on a case-by-case basis. Consequently, no single type of test accommodation would necessarily be appropriate for all individuals with disabilities.
Once our system has processed your voucher purchase we will reach out within the next 24 hours with your voucher code.
Please review these instructions in advance of yyour scheduled exam time. If you have any question about this guide, please contact us.
- Review the Tutorial of the exam you signed up for.
- You will need your Certiport login/username and password. Please have this information ready before your scheduled exam time. If you have lost your username or password, click here.
- Ensure exam security by strictly adhering to the following:
- If possible, find a space to take your exam without distractions or other people.
- No mobile or other computing devices are allowed.
- No recording devices are allowed (this includes paper, pens, pencils, cameras, etc.).
- Close all open browsers and applications prior to exam.
- Have other household members refrain from using the internet during your exam session.
- Laptop or Desktop with Windows 10, Windows 11, or Mac OSX Sierra 10.12 or higher
- The language of the OS on your computer must match the exam language you are scheduled to take
- Chromebook with the most current OS
- Keyboard and mouse (see FAQs if using a laptop or mini-keyboard with Autodesk exams)
- Recommended minimum screen resolution of 1280 x 800
- The preferred internet browser is Chrome. Internet Explorer, Edge, and Safari are also acceptable
- A bandwidth download speed of at least 5Mbps
Retake FAQs
- If a candidate does not achieve a passing score on an exam the first time, the candidate must wait 24 hours before retaking the exam.
- If a candidate does not achieve a passing score the second time, the candidate must wait 2 days (48 hours) before retaking the exam a third time.
- A two-day waiting period will be imposed for each subsequent exam retake.
- There is no annual limit on the number of attempts on the same exam.
- If a candidate achieves a passing score on an MOS exam, the candidate may take it again.
Here is the basic information about retake vouchers:
- A retake voucher code will only be issued if you have purchased an "exam voucher with retake" product.
- Retake voucher codes will only be issued if you fail the exam. If you pass the exam, a retake voucher code will not be generated or issued.
- Retake voucher codes are generated within 24 hours of failing the exam, and cannot be rushed processed for any reason.
- A retake voucher code will be sent to the email address on your Certiport account in addition to automatically being assigned to your test candidate profile.
An exam voucher with a retake may be used up to 30 days after the first attempt.
The retake voucher code will expire a set number of days after the code is generated, and the window to redeem a retake code varies by program.

Certificate FAQs
Generally, most exams will populate a certification email immediately after the exam has been completed. Exam certificates may take up to a 24 hour period to generate an email response.

Congratulations on earning a digital credential! There are several benefits to having this in digital form:
- A quality credential clearly explains what you can do, what you did to earn this and who says you earned it. It is more than a piece of paper.
- The digital version of a credential is easy to share online.
- The digital version of a credential is secure.
- This is a trusted method for real-time verification; it is not self reported.
- You’ll see direct connections between skills and jobs.
To get started, follow the link in the email you received telling you about the credential. Most likely it came from [email protected] .
You'll be asked to create an account and confirm your email.
After you create the account and log in, accept the badge!
Then share the badge! It is through sharing that you see the power of the network. This is a way to tell others about your skills and abilities!
